Soquel Schafer, PA-C

Meet Soquel Schafer, PA-C
Soquel (pronounced “So-Kell”) Schafer, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant practicing at Colorado Springs Urological Associates, PLLC, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Originally from Northern California, Soquel graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She then attended Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California, where she earned her master’s degree in medical science through the Physician Assistant program.
While she finds all areas of urology interesting, she gives special emphasis to female-related urinary complaints, BPH, urinary stone care, and hormonal replacement therapy management. Soquel understands that a patient’s time is precious, and she works diligently to foster a supportive and positive patient-provider interaction by listening to concerns in their entirety.
Before becoming a physician assistant, Soquel worked as a physical therapy aide, caring for elderly individuals with memory loss, and as a behavioral instructor for children with Autism.
When Soquel isn’t working, she loves to backpack, bake (and more importantly, eat) bread, take overland trips in an old Toyota with her family, and has just started to dip her toe into mountain biking. She has lived in South America for several years and is fluent in Spanish.
